SOUTH BEND (AP) — Sen. Barack Obama will speak Wednesday night at Washington High School in South Bend.
The 10 p.m. event will be the first stop on Obama’s “Road to Change” bus tour across Indiana. The other stops weren’t announced Monday.
Doors will open at 8 p.m. The event is free and open to the public, but space is limited and tickets are required. Those who wish to attend can sign up to receive a ticket by email at www.barackobama.com.
Last month, Washington High School declined a visit during school hours by Obama’s rival, Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, saying the visit would disrupt school and few students could attend. Clinton instead visited nearby Mishawaka High School.
Obama and Clinton are contending for the Democratic presidential nomination.
