ALEXANDRIA — An Anderson woman was injured Wednesday after the vehicle she was driving ended overturned in a ditch.
Madison County Sheriff Ron Richardson said Janet Collins, 66, was driving a 2007 Pontiac G6 eastbound on Indiana 128 shortly after 4:30 p.m. when she left the road and overturned in a ditch.
Richardson said in a news release the crash happened along Ind. 128 between 100 West and Ind. 9, near the railroad crossing.
Frankton EMS took Collins to Community Hospital in Anderson, where she was in satisfactory condition Wednesday, said Katy Harrison Troxell, hospital spokeswoman.
Richardson said the right-side wheels on the G6’s right side dropped off the side of the road. When Collins tried to bring the car back on the road, she lost control and ended up in the ditch.
Along with the sheriff’s department, Frankton firefighters and Madison County Emergency Management Agency officials responded to the scene.
