Anderson police remain on the lookout for a man believed to have abducted his lawyer at knifepoint.
Richard Lee Hudson was still at large Tuesday morning, according to Anderson Police Department Lt. Steve Olheiser. While traveling with attorney Tom Hamer on Monday, Hudson used a knife to gain control of Hamer’s vehicle and tied him up. Hamer later escaped unhurt.
Hudson is described as a white male, 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing around 150 pounds. He was last known to have long gray hair and a gray beard.
Police believe Hudson may still be driving Hamer’s red Ford Escape SUV, which bears a Riley Children’s Hospital license plate of RK114.
“We gave out the information at roll call,” Olheiser said of APD’s overnight shift. “We will continue to puruse him, regardless of who else is looking for him.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Anderson Police Department at (765) 648-6730.
