OBAMA: VA adviser in Anderson Tuesday

First Lt. Bill Dooling, Sen. Barack Obama’s veteran affairs adviser, will lead discussions Tuesday in Indianapolis, Anderson and Fort Wayne on the Democratic presidential nominee’s plan to build a 21st-century VA, which including fully funding for VA medical facilities, expanding the number of veterans centers, and ensuring veterans have opportunities following their service.

Dooling will appear at 9:45 a.m. Tuesday at AMVETS Hall 99, 2840 Lafayette Road, Indianapolis; at noon at UAW 663, 2840 S. Madison Ave., Anderson; and at 2:15 p.m. at American Legion Hall 82, Back Meeting Room, 3501 Harris Road, Fort Wayne.

Dooling is a union organizer, retired teacher of 30 years, and Vietnam veteran of the U.S. Army Security Agency. Since 2004, he has served on the Democratic National Committee’s Veterans and Military Families Council.
