10:45 a.m.: 300 jobs coming to Daleville

DALEVILLE -- Daleville will get 300 new jobs, according to a press release.

Manpower, an employment services firm, announced this morning that the company will be hiring 300 new workers for entry-level call center jobs at a Daleville location.

The positions will pay between $10 and $10.25 per hour and the center is located just off Interstate 69 in Daleville, according to the statement released by Manpower. Bilingual employees who speak Spanish and English are eligible for a $1 per hour premium.

The jobs will be related to sales or service of DVDs, MP3 players, TVs, computers and other electronics equipment, according to the release. The exact location of the call center and other details have not been released.

“With local unemployment rates running well above the state average of 6.4 percent, we’re glad to be bucking the recent trend,” said Eric Jones of Manpower.
