7:40 a.m.: Death of Wabash student may be alcohol-related
The death of a Wabash College freshman over the weekend may be drinking-related, authorities say.
Johnny Smith, 18, was found dead at the Delta Tau Delta fraternity house Sunday morning and his death is being investigated by the Crawfordsville Police Department.
Relatives of Smith in Tucson, Ariz. say he felt pressure from peers to drink.
Alcohol was also a factor in October 2007 when 19-year-old freshman Patrick Woehnker died after falling off the roof of a campus building.
