ANDERSON — Police want a Speedway man charged for allegedly beating his live-in girlfriend after losing a “large amount of money” at Hoosier Park Racing and Casino on Saturday, according to a police report.

Officers requested an arrest warrant for David M. Vicha, 41, alleging misdemeanor domestic battery and interference with the reporting of a crime.

The woman told police Vicha was upset after losing the money, and the two argued as they left the casino. As they drove on Scatterfield, Vicha began hitting and choking the woman. The woman jumped out of the vehicle at a stoplight near Bob Evan’s, 5555 Scatterfield Road, and called Anderson police at about 9:50 p.m., according to the report

The amount of money Vicha lost was not included in the report. It wasn’t immediately clear if he has been taken into custody. He has not been formally charged.
