Memorial Day services set

Veterans will be honored Monday, May 25, in various services around Madison County. Observances include:



ANDERSON — 11 a.m., Crystal Arch at City Hall with speaker County Commissioner Paul Wilson. Services continue at the Truman Bridge with speaker J.R. Rosencrans. Observance ends at East Maplewood Cemetery with speaker Terry Richwine.



PENDLETON — 10 a.m., Huntsville Cemetery. Led by Pendleton American Legion Post 117, services continue at 10:30 a.m. at Ovid Cemetery; 11 a.m. at Mendon Cemetery; 11:30 a.m. at Falls Park; noon at Grovelawn Cemetery and 12:30 p.m. at the post.



ELWOOD — 1 p.m., Elwood City Cemetery, enter on South D Street. Roll call by H.R. Miller in his 45th year. Andrew Phipps is guest speaker. Singer Faren Haas performs. Patriotic and American fiddle tunes by Tom Townsend. War tunes will be played on bagpipe by Dave Galloway.
