County to vote on budget, discuss COIT, 'Extreme Makeover' update, Second Stree fire

Good morning.

It’s 6:45 a.m. Tuesday and the staff at The Herald Bulletin is getting down to work. We will pursue news throughout the day and will have frequent updates here on our Web site.

Today, the Madison County Council will vote on a budget at 4 p.m., county officials will also hold a hearing concerning the County Option Income Tax (COIT) at 7 p.m. We’ll provide an update on the “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” project under way in Bunker Hill. And a fire broke out in the 2300 block of East Second St. around midnight, we’ll find out what happened.
