MOUNT CARMEL, Ill. — Robert “Bob” Rutter, 83, Mount Carmel,Ill., brother of Edward (Susan) Rutter of Anderson, died Nov. 5, 2009, at St. Mary’s Hospital, Evansville.
He served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Lorene (Compton) Rutter; and two sons, Steven (Alice) Rutter and Stanley (Georgia) Rutter.
Graveside services were Nov. 9 at Highland Memorial Cemetery.
Arrangements handled by Short Funeral Home, Mount Carmel.

MIDDLETOWN — Former Frankton resident Anthony “Tony” DiRuzza, 78, of Middletown, died Nov. 8, 2009, at his residence after an extended illness.
Survivors include a daughter, Toni (Don) Rogers; a son, Mike DiRuzza; and companion and caregiver, Beverly Damron.
Service 1 p.m. Thursday at Harper & Dunnichay Funeral Home, Frankton. Burial in Park View Cemetery, Alexandria.
Visitation 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday.

ELWOOD — Laurabell (Smith) Cox, 80, Elwood, died Nov. 8, 2009, at St. Vincent Mercy Hospital, Elwood.
Survivors include a daughter, Pam (husband, Fred) Mort.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester G. Cox, on Feb. 15, 1992.
Service 1 p.m. Wednesday at Dunnichay Funeral Home, Elwood. Burial in Sunset Memorial Park, Elwood.
Visitation 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday.
