FORT WAYNE — Officials at a Fort Wayne-based Christian Internet site that features uplifting songs and messages to teens is approaching potential large donors across the nation to keep the station operating after Jan. 31.
Remedy.fm founder Char Binkley says station officials also has been focusing on potential donors in Fort Wayne since its nonprofit parent, Taylor University Broadcasting Inc., voted in September to close the station by Jan.31 if it doesn't find new sources of money.
Binkley says the station has been hit hard by the recession like many nonprofit and church-related organizations.
Remedy began with a gift from the American Bible Society and seven $50,000 donations in October 2007.
