APPLE VALLEY, Minn. — Otis L. “Jake” Heagy, 80, of Apple Valley, Minn., and former Elwood resident died Nov. 9, 2009, at his residence.
He retired after 32 years of service in the U.S. Army.
Survivors include three sons, Kevin (Tami) Heagy, William (Lisa) Heagy, and Thomas (Elizabeth) Heagy.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Susan E. Heagy.
Services will be 3 p.m. Monday at Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home in Elwood. Burial of ashes will take place in Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery at 1 p.m. Wednesday.
Visitation 1 to 3 p.m. Monday at Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home.

BARTOW, Fla. — Former Anderson resident James F. Allen, 65, of Bartow, died Nov. 10, 2009, at Palm Terrace Hospice in Lakeland, Fla.
He was a U.S. Air Force Vietnam veteran.
He is survived by his daughter, Catherine M. McClees.

WORTHINGTON, Ind. — Judith Ann Shepherd, 68, of Worthington, Ind., died Nov. 12, 2009 at Community North Hospital in Indianapolis.
Survivors include her husband, George R. Shepherd and stepchildren, Theresa Franklin, Michael Shepherd and Ruth Mathison.
Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Worthington with Sherman Thomas officiating. Burial will be in Worthington Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Sunday and 9 a.m. Monday until time of service at the funeral home.

FRUITLAND PARK, Fla. — Former Frankton resident Waneta Louise Wigner, 83, of Fruitland Park, Fla., died Nov. 13, 2009.
Survivors include four sisters, Virginia Hunter, Joan Vaughn, Anna May Couch, and Rosemary Clark.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin Wigner in 2001.
