PENDLETON, Ind. — Military flags and flagpoles donated by two members of the Pendleton Heights High School Class of 2009 will be dedicated at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the high school. Veterans and active duty military personnel are invited to attend.
Ashley Bartmas and Adam Garretson raised funds and organized the purchase of flagpoles and flags for each branch of the United States military. Bartmas is now an Air Force Cadet and Garretson is a freshman at Purdue University. Both will participate in the ceremony, in which members of each branch of service will present and help raise colors as anthems for each branch of the service are played.
State Rep. Scott Reske, a retired Marine Corps colonel, will lead the ceremony.
