Food distribution Wednesday
ANDERSON — Second Harvest Food Bank of East Central Indiana will provide food for families in need at the monthly Tailgate distribution from noon to 2 p.m. Wednesday. The Second Harvest Tailgate will be held at Athletic Park, located at the corner of 8th and Wilcon Streets in Anderson.
This Second Harvest Tailgate is a collaborative effort between Second Harvest Food Bank of East Central Indiana and the United Way of Madison County.

The Herald Bulletin business offices closed Thursday, Friday
ANDERSON — The business offices of The Herald Bulletin will be closed on Thursday, Dec. 24 and Friday, Dec. 25. The newsroom will be open until early evening on Christmas Eve and will be open throughout the evening on Christmas.
‘Street Beat’ radio show to broadcast Monday
ANDERSON — The December 2009 installment of “Takin’ it to the Street Beat” will broadcast live from Davis Unique Salon, 1604 S. Madison Ave., from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday. The interactive radio show from NewsTalk 1240 WHBU broadcasts live from a different remote location once a month. The public is invited to attend and share their opinions on health care reform, the holiday season and other issues. The show is hosted by James Burgess, president of the Madison County Branch NAACP.
Anderson Public Library Holiday Closings
ANDERSON — Anderson Public Library will be closed December 24-25, Dec. 31 and January 1. The closing includes APL’s Lapel branch.

Holiday hours for United Way of Madison County
ANDERSON — The United Way of Madison County office will be closed in observance of Christmas on Thursday and Friday. The office will be open December 28-31 to accept end-of-year donations. The office is located at 1201 E. 5th Street, Suite 1019, Anderson. Regular hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. will be observed December 28-30. The office will be open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 31.
Senior bridge on hiatus until Jan. 7
ANDERSON — Redbud Community Room, 1800 W. 38th St., will not hold senior bridge the next two Thursdays, Dec. 24 and Dec. 31. Senior bridge will return Thursday, Jan. 7.
