ANDERSON, Ind. — A compilation of local briefs, as published in the Friday edition of The Herald Bulletin.

Produce giveaway set for Tuesday

ANDERSON — Fresh produce will be given away at the Madison County Community Health Center, 1547 Ohio Ave., on Tuesday, March 26, beginning at 11 a.m. (while quantities last) The distribution is a collaboration between Second Harvest Food bank and the Health Center.

Museum grand opening Saturday

ALEXANDRIA — The Alexandria Monroe Township Historical Society is having a grand opening for this year at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 23. Refreshments will be served.

Members have been busy since the holidays cleaning, re-working displays, adding new artifacts and pictures. The museum is open Thursdays, 1 to 5 p.m.; Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.; and by appointment.

‘Walk A Mile In My Paws’ is fundraiser

MUNCIE — Animal lovers will be walking through Ball State’s campus with their pets Saturday, March 23, as part of “Walk A Mile in My Paws.” The event is to raise money and items for Muncie’s Animal Rescue Fund. Registration begins at 9 a.m. with the walk beginning at 10 a.m. at the corner of University and McKinley.
