‘All Things Chocolate’ event cancelled
MUNCIE — Indiana Public Radio has cancelled its “All Things Chocolate” fundraiser set for today at 2 p.m. at the Minnestrista Cultural Center in Muncie. No new date for the event has been announced.
Residents asked to clear hydrants
INDIANAPOLIS — State Fire Marshal Jim Greeson issued a statement Saturday asking fire departments and citizens in areas affected by the winter storm to clear snow from around hydrants. Greeson also reminded Hoosiers to make sure their house numbers were clear and visible, in case of emergency.
ISP trooper struck, injured on I-69
MARION — Indiana State Police Trooper Lee Ross, 28, was struck and injured on Interstate 69 at the 65 mile-marker in Grant County at 9:05 p.m. Friday. Ross was checking an abandoned vehicle in the median when a southbound 1993 Honda driven by Julia A. Lebrell, 23, of Dearborn, Mich., struck the trooper and his cruiser. Ross was transported to Marion General Hospital with complaint of pain, and later released.
Red Gold, McIlhenny bet on Super Bowl
ORETES — Madison County’s Red Gold Inc. has engaged in a friendly Super Bowl wager with McIlhenny, the Louisiana company that makes Tabasco Sauce. According to a release, if the New Orleans Saints win, Paul McIlhenny, CEO of Tabasco, will receive a case of Red Gold premium tomatoes. If the Indianapolis Colts win, Brian Reichart, president of Red Gold, will receive a gallon of Tabasco.
Bublé to perform concert at Conseco
INDIANAPOLIS — Grammy winner Michael Bublé will perform in concert on June 29 in Conseco Fieldhouse in Indianapolis. Tickets will go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday at Ticketmaster.com or charge by phone at (800) 745-3000.

Interest in the 9,000-seat Wigwam has spread a lot farther than here in Anderson. A professor of economics at Eastern Kentucky University sent out 800 surveys about the historic gymnasium in November.
