Alfred A. Steele, 29, of the 1900 block of East Seventh Street, was charged with possession of cocaine as a Class B felony and misdemeanor possession of marijuana after his arrest in the 600 block of Sun Valley Drive.
According to a probable cause affidavit, Steele and a woman passenger were parked in the lot of Fairview Apartments and slouched in their seats when police arrived at about 10 p.m. Thursday. Steele was found in possession of 14 rocks of cocaine, the affidavit said.
Steele was released from the Madison County Jail on Friday after posting $20,000 bond.
