NEW CASTLE — Melissa A. English, 53, died March 10, 2010, at her home, following an extended illness. Survivors include her son, Jeremy Brown; her mother, Betty Jo English; and two grandchildren, Trenton and Teagan Brown.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Wiley United Methodist Church in New Castle. Visitation one hour prior to the Tuesday service at the church. Arrangements by Main & Davis Funeral Home, Broad St. Chapel, New Castle.

Iraq veteran displaced after apartment fire
Firefighters were able to extinguish the flames at Courtyard Apartments, 2725 W. 16th St., but the damage had been done. With the exception of the sweatpants and sweatshirt he slept in, Brandon Wilson lost everything.
