ARCADIA — Two people were flown to an Indianapolis hospital following a head-on collision in Hamilton County early Thursday.

Hamilton County Sheriff’s Deputy Vicky Dunbar said in a news release that the two-vehicle crash happened at about 5:15 p.m. near the intersection of Indiana 19 and 266th Street.

Joshua R. Lee, Atlanta, was driving a 1990 Oldsmobile Cutlass northbound on Ind. 19 when he crossed the centerline.

Lee crashed into a southbound 1997 Chevrolet Cavalier driven by 37-year-old Tanya K. Minton, Atlanta, said Dunbar, department spokeswoman.

Lee was taken by helicopter to Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis suffering from a cut to the head and a possible broken leg.

Minton was also flown to Methodist, suffering a cut to her arm and a possible head injury.

Neither person’s injuries were believed to be life-threatening, according to Dunbar.
