Police: Fortville man inappropriately touched teen

INGALLS — A 27-year-old Fortville man was arrested on Thursday for inappropriately touching a teen girl, according to police.

Ingalls officers arrested Lionel A. May on suspicion of sexual misconduct with a minor. He was being held on $20,000 bond late Friday.

According to a police report:

May was staying at an Ingalls home about two weeks ago. The girl told police she and May were in a bedroom playing a video game when she stood up to retrieve something from a shelf. May inappropriately touched her when she stood up, the girl told police.

May admitted during police questioning to touching the girl.

May has made an initial court appearance, but has not been charged. On Friday, prosecutors submitted paperwork requesting an extra three days to determine what, if any, charges should be filed.
