‘Days of Our Lives’ star at Paramount
The Paramount Theatre Centre and WTHR (Channel 13) will present “Night & Days: An Evening with Kevin Spirtas” at 7:30 p.m. May 10.
In his concert, Spirtas goes on a tour of his career highlights, from his Broadway debut to his years as Dr. Craig Wesley on NBC’s “Days of Our Lives.”
His show features dancing and singing from a variety of Broadway shows like “A Chorus Line,” “Phantom of the Opera,” “West Side Story,” “Camelot,” “Chicago” and “The Boy From Oz.”
Tickets are $20, $25 and $30 (for VIP seats) and go on sale today. The first 200 VIP seats purchased will receive a special backstage pass to meet Spirtas.

Church to host fish fry
The Central Wesleyan Church of Elwood is hosting a Dan’s Fish Fry from 4 to 7:30 p.m. today at Elwood High School.
Tickets are $8 and the proceeds will go to the church.
NACCP will hold meeting
The Madison County Branch NAACP will have its general membership meeting at 3 p.m. Sunday at the branch office, 1015 W. 15th St.
The meeting’s agenda will include a report from President James Burgess and community concerns. The community is invited to participate in this gathering.
Food drive planned for Saturday
On Saturday, the Madison County Highway Department is conducting its nonperishable food drive at six locations — Pay Less Applewood, Pay Less Cross Street, Pay Less 29th Street, Pendleton Marsh, Cox’s Supermarket-Alexandria and Wal-Mart Scatterfield from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The Madison County Highway Department will use its tandem dump trucks with V-snowplows to collect food. Donors will be allowed to sign the snow plows, to show they care. There will also be milk jugs for cash donations at these sites.
The highway department is supporting the sixth annual City of Anderson “We Can Care” event. The food and money supports the Second Harvest Food Bank. The food will be divided among organizations in need in Madison County.
Community to host Fair for the Young
Community Hospital will host its 10th annual “A Fair for the Young at Heart,” Saturday, April 12, in the lower level of Community Hospital Anderson.
The event will focus on independence and a healthy lifestyle for seniors. Don Volk, retired executive director for the Paramount Theatre Centre and Ballroom, will speak about his memorable 15 years with the Paramount.
Jack and Shirley Markley will provide magical entertainment. A light luncheon will be served, health information from area vendors will be available and door prizes will be awarded.

Free computer class offered
A beginning e-mail class will be offered at the Pendleton Community Public Library, 595 E. Water St., at 6 p.m. Monday, March 31.
The class will teach students the basics of an online or browser-based e-mail account. Topics include: sending, replying, forwarding and deleting e-mail messages.
The class is free and open to the public. Class size is limited and seats will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Registration is required. Call Arlene Shannon at (765) 778-7527 to register.
Markleville ’58 Class plans reunion
The class of 1958 Markleville High School will have its 50-year reunion on Friday, May 16, at 7 p.m.
