Grace, Truth set to meet Saturday

Grace and Truth Ministries will meet from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday at 1010 W. Eighth St. Rev. Ruby Wideman will be the chairperson over the meeting. Speaker will be Rev. Anita Jack, who will be speaking on “The String of Pearls” Scripture James 1:2-4. All women are invited to bring your Bibles and wear a string of pearls. Rev. Jack is an ordained minister through the Indiana Ministries of the Church of God. Her home church is East Side Church of God, in which she serves as an elder, on the Board of Elders, teaches a women’s believers notebook Bible study, choir member, hospital visitation team and other ministries within the church. The ministry will celebrate Thanksgiving, a time of fellowship and a meal together immediately following the meeting. White River Club to host health expo

White River Club, 1545 S. Scatterfield Road, will host its second annual Health & Wellness Expo from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday in the club’s gym. The event is free and will feature free health screenings, gift, demo classes and drawings for prizes. Some of the participants will include Community Hospital Diabetes Care Center, Ivy Tech, Saint John’s Cancer Center, GNC, Dr. Macha, Chiropractic Works. Fashion show at Clarion Saturday

The St. Ambrose Hispanic Group 2008 Fashion Show will be held from 7 p.m. to 3 a.m. Saturday at the Clarion Hotel Banquet Room. Sponsoring the evening are La Charreada Restaurant, Continental Roofing, Maurice’s Boutique and Mr. Penguin Tuxedo. Cost is $25 per person and $45 per couple. The event will start with a dinner, show and a dance.

Auction, dinner Saturday at church

The public is invited to attend a white elephant auction and dinner on Saturday at 6:30 p.m. at Elm Grove Christian Church. The church is located at 2940 N. 330W, Anderson. For more information, call (765) 644-4520 or (765) 617-5347.

Fish, shrimp dinner served at 40&8

An all-you-can-eat fish or shrimp dinner will be served from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Voiture 510 40&8, 1600 N. Rangeline Road. The menu will include fish or shrimp, pork and beans, a vegetable, slaw, potato. Cost is $7 for fish, $6 for shrimp or $8 for both fish and shrimp.

Charity auction, dinner Saturday

St. Mary’s Charity auction and dinner will be held Saturday at Rangeline Community Center. Auctioneer will be Bret Busby. Dinner will be served from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. with the auction beginning at 7 p.m.
