Kidz Take Stage registration today

ANDERSON — Kidz Take the Stage is registering children ages 6 to 18 for “The Best Christmas Pageant Ever” at Ridge Crossing Auditorium, 1426 W. 53rd St., today from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

To be in the show, children need to come with a parent.

The cost is $80 per child.

The pageant will be directed by Darlene Lee.

Donations sought for food giveaway

ANDERSON — The Cry of God Ministries is accepting donations for its fifth annual Thanksgiving Giveaway.

The group hopes to feed 120 families.

Donations of nonperishable food items can be dropped off on Wednesdays only at Promise Land Church, 2129 McKinley St., between 6:30 and 8 p.m.

Monetary donations can be sent to P.O. Box 2936, Anderson, IN 46018.

Donations must be submitted by Nov. 19.



Sahm’s to host food bank benefit

PENDLETON — Sahm’s Restaurant, 1251 Huntzinger Blvd., Suite 600, Pendleton will host a charity dinner to benefit Second Harvest Food Bank of East Central Indiana on Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m.

Diners will be able to order off the menu and 15 percent of the night’s sales will go to Second Harvest.

The money will be used for programs that feed hungry children in the region.

Breakfast served Sunday at Shrine Club

ANDERSON — The Madison County Shrine Club Past Presidents will host an all-you-can-eat breakfast on Sunday from

8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The menu will include pancakes, scrambled eggs, bacon, potatoes, biscuits and sausage gravy, juice, milk, hot tea and coffee. The cost is $6 for adults and $3 for children, age 10 and under.

The public is invited to attend. The club is at 2419 White St., Anderson.



MOB registration Wednesday

ANDERSON — Merchants Older Buddies registration will be from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Anderson Park Department, 101 E. Oak St., Anderson.

The card offers discounts to those 60 years of age and older at various area merchants. Cost is $4.

Zumba classes start Saturday

CHESTERFIELD — Zumba, a Latin-inspired dance fitness class, will be held from 9 to 10 a.m. Saturdays during the winter months at Millcreek Civic Center, Indiana 32, Chesterfield. The cost is $5 a class.

Veterans program Nov. 15 in New Castle

NEW CASTLE — The First United Methodist Church of New Castle will honor all veterans at 6 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 15.

On the program will be Donald “Danny” Danielson, Nate LaMar and Rep. Tom Saunders.

The church is at South 14th and Church streets.
