Women diagnosed with breast cancer before 50 sought

Free Thanksgiving dinners offered

ANDERSON — Greater St. Mark’s Church of God in Christ, 2232 Dewey St., will provide free Thanksgiving dinners to those in need. The meal will be served from noon to 2 p.m. on Thanksgiving. For more information, contact the church at 642-8922.



County sets deadline for tax assessments

ANDERSON — The Madison County assessor’s office has set a deadline of Thursday, Dec. 10, for accepting appeals for 2008 property tax assessments.

Appeal forms (form 130) can be picked up at the assessor’s office (Room 230) on the second floor of the Madison County Government Center, 16 E. Ninth St.
