Bethany Pointe donates to food bank
ANDERSON — On Jan. 18, Bethany Pointe executive director Linda Koch and resident Phyllis Dronberger presented a $1,107.53 check to Patty Ingham and Joan Dietz, co-chairman of the East Lynn Christian Church Food Pantry. Twenty-six employees donated 63 hours of PTO/vacation time to make a difference in the lives of those in the community. The residents pitched in an additional $23.75 from the sale of green beans harvested from their summer garden.
White River Club conducting study
ANDERSON — White River Club will host its second 21-day Healthy Heart Exercise Project for 50 participants with the following requirements: must have 15-plus pounds of weight to lose, do not currently exercise on a regular basis, have a Heart Disease Risk & Endurance Test taken and follow a simple exercise program three times per week. No membership is required for the project. At the end of the project, participants will be tested again and be used for confidential intra-club research.

AHS Class of 1950 sets mini-reunion
SUN CITY, Fla. — The Anderson High School Class of 1950 sponsors a mini-reunion yearly. It will be held at Ozzies Buffet and Grill on Saturday, Feb. 20, at noon. It is 1 1/2 miles west of Sun City, Fla., on State Road 674. All Anderson High School graduates are welcome.

Jazz Festival planned for Feb. 13
PENDLETON — The Madison County Jazz Festival will be on Saturday, Feb. 13 in the Loren Skinner Auditorium at Pendleton Heights High School. The festival will feature middle and high school jazz bands from 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.The Butler University Jazz Ensemble followed by the Madison County Honor Jazz Band will then perform at 7:10 p.m. Following this will be this year’s guest artist, Bobby Shew. This featured event will begin at 8 p.m. Tickets are $5. The Pendleton Heights Band Boosters will be offering a variety of concessions.
