ANDERSON, Ind. — Annual fundraiser set for Saturday

ANDERSON — New Life Apostolic Church will host its annual fundraiser featuring hamburgers, hot dogs, chips and drink and a car wash on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

It will be held at the Advance Auto Parts, 38th Street and Columbus Avenue.



MOB registration at Senior Center

ANDERSON — Merchants Older Buddies registration will be from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 8, at the North Anderson Senior Center, 101 E. Oak St.

The registration card offers discounts to those 60 years of age and older at various area merchants. Cost is $4. For information, contact Haskell Counts at 643-8843.



Chili supper set for Sept. 10

ANDERSON — A “Heaven or Hell” chili supper will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday, Sept. 10, at Friendship Baptist Church, 1540 W. 16th St.

Cost is $5.

The event is being sponsored by the Pastor’s Anniversary Committee.

The public is invited to attend.



Square dance club offering free lessons

ANDERSON — Footloose Square Dance Club will be offering Mainstream Square Dance Lessons beginning Sept. 14 at the Rangeline Community Center, 1405 N. Rangeline Road.

Lessons will be every Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. The first two lessons on Sept. 14 and 21  are free. The cost of the lessons afterward will be $4 per person per lesson. Lessons are free for children. Everyone 8 years of age and older is welcome.

Darrin Henry is the instructor. There will be a chili supper on Sept. 14 at 6 p.m.

HHS yearbooks now available

ANDERSON — The 2009-2010 Highland High School yearbooks are available at Anderson High School from 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. If you ordered a personalized yearbook, contact Laura Harless at 641-2037, ext. 2055, to schedule a time to pick up your book.

Extra yearbooks will be sold Thursday between 10:15 and 11:30 a.m.

If you are unable to make it during this time, contact Harless. The price is $55 and checks are payable to AHS. Quantities are limited.

The 2009-2010 Anderson High School yearbooks have not arrived yet.



Friends of Library to host monthly sale

ANDERSON — The Friends of the Anderson Public Library will hold their monthly book sale Sept. 10-11 at the third-floor bookstore of the Anderson Public Library, 111 E. 12th St.

Sale hours are noon to 4:30 p.m.
