ANDERSON, Ind. —
Jack L. Haines, 80, of Anderson, passed away March 18, 2013, at St. Vincent Anderson Regional Hospital.
He was born Sept. 7, 1932, in Anderson, the son of Theodore and Clara (Flora) Haines. He lived in Anderson all of his life and retired from the Anderson City Garage.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, Seventh Army, Second Armored, Cavalry Reg. He was a life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 266 and member of the American Legion 127, AMVETS Post 692 and Madison County Voiture 510, 40 & 8.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Haines of Anderson; daughter, Deborah (husband, Wayne) Morgan of Daleville; stepchildren, Rob (wife, Tammy) Richardson and Tim (wife, Roberta) Richardson, all of Monterey; brother, Charles Haines of Florida; sister, Sarah Neiman of Florida; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, including one grandson, Jackie Lee Haines III, whom he raised; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers; one sister; son, Jack L. Haines Jr.; daughter, Pamela Haines; stepsons, Steve and Larry Wayne Richardson; grandsons, Breck and Brock Haines; and one great-grandson, Bradley Lee Haines.
Services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Friday at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Home with Chaplain Michael Jones officiating. Military honors will be conducted by VFW Post 266. Burial will take place at a later date.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
