ANDERSON, Ind. —
Delia Jean Miracle Davenport, 75, went to be with the Lord on Dec. 16, 2012.
She was born on March 7, 1937, in Claiborne County, Tenn., to Charles and Elsie Baker (Ratliff).
Jean loved to write, fish and golf. She retired from Auto Owners Insurance and went to Anderson to care for her parents until their passing. She returned to Hendersonville to care for her special friend, Bill Miracle, until his death in 2011. Jean was a member of Liberty Grove Baptist Church.
Delia is survived by her sisters, Jerrie (Cletis) Earl of Middletown and Janie (Roy) Clem of Molena, Ga.; sister in-law, Jan Baker of Pendleton; special aunt, Allie Brewer; uncle, Paul Ratliff; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Don Davenport in 1993; her parents; sister, Helen Baker; and her only brother, Jack Baker of Pendleton.
Visitation will be held from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. Friday at Robert D. Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, 200 W. 53rd St., Anderson.
Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home with Hervey Lawrence officiating. Burial will take place in the Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
