Alice Schick

Oct. 21, 1919 - March 14, 2013

ANDERSON, Ind. — Alice (Dunlap) Schick, 93, of Anderson, passed away March 14, 2013, at Rawlins House in Pendleton after a brief illness.

She was born Oct. 21, 1919, in Kokomo, the daughter of the late Frank and Ruth (Jones) Dunlap. She was a graduate of Elwood High School, lived in Elwood and Anderson all of her life and was a homemaker.

Alice was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church and was active in the Altar Rosary Society. She had many friends from her activities with the Welcome Wagoneers Home Ec Club, playing pinochle and being a member of Lady Elks in Elwood.

She is survived by her son, John Schick (significant other, Joan O’Connor) of Brownsburg; daughter, Cathy (husband, Dale) Herr of Carmel; grandchildren, Christopher Herr, Jacob Herr and Joshua Herr, all of Carmel; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard Schick, whom she married on May 30, 1941; and brothers, Rex Dunlap and Max Dunlap.

Services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Home with Father Robert Williams officiating. Burial will be at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Ambrose Catholic Church.
