ANDERSON, Ind. —
Georgia Allene (Sanders) Green, 71, of Anderson, passed away on Dec. 18, 2012, at Saint John’s Medical Center, Anderson.
She was born on Sept. 7, 1941, in Muncie, and resided most of her life in Anderson.
She taught for 31 years at Lindberg Elementary School and Edgewood Elementary Schools, retiring in 1996.
She was a member of Jackson Township Extension Homemakers and enjoyed traveling, playing cards, dancing and listening to gospel music. Georgia enjoyed volunteering her time where needed.
Georgia is survived by her daughter, Nancy (Pete) Bowyer of Yulee, Fla.; sons, Phillip W. Sullivan of Anderson and Rodney T. Sullivan of Miami, Fla.; sisters, Carolyn (Bob) King of Yorktown, Joyce Chong of Mililan, Hawaii, and Chris (Joe) Humphreys of St. Louis, Mo.; several nieces and nephews; and best friend, Charles Rushing.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Martha (Hunter) Sanders.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. Saturday at Davis Park Pavilion in Anderson.
