ANDERSON, Ind. —
Lois E. (Reynolds) Dale Hite, 87, of Anderson, passed away Feb. 3, 2012, at Rawlins House in Pendleton after an extended illness.
She was born Oct. 23, 1924, in Willow Grove, Tenn., and resided most of her life in Anderson.
She retired from Guide Lamp Div. of General Motors after 32 years of service.
A member of Whetstone Christian Church, she also enjoyed gardening and her dogs. In her younger years, she enjoyed horseback riding and camping.
She is survived by her son, Danny Dale (Cheryl) of Anderson; sister, Nora Carroll of Pendleton; grandson, Joshua Dale of Georgia; great-grandchildren, Hannah, Landon and Olivia Dale of Georgia; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Lois was preceded in death by her parents, Orbit and Mattie (Morrow) Reynolds; first husband, Willie D. Dale, who died in 1984; second husband, Ernest Hite, in 2001; son, Billy Dale; sisters, Eula Whicker and Vada Maniord; and brothers, Lloyd Reynolds, J.C. Reynolds and Edward Reynolds.
Special thanks are extended to staff members of Rawlins House for their loving care.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday at Robert D. Loose Funeral Home and Crematory, 200 W. 53rd St., Anderson.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, officiated by Pastor Stephen Gettinger. Burial will take place at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
