ANDERSON, Ind. —
David Bartley Godleski, 42, passed away March 18, 2013, at his home following a sudden illness.
He was born Nov. 5, 1970, in Anderson, and was a Pendleton resident most of his life until moving to Anderson four years ago.
David was a 1990 graduate of Pendleton Heights High School and graduate of Hobart Welding School in Ohio. He attended Ivy Tech University and was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church in Anderson.
He had been employed as a skilled tradesman in tooling most of his life.
David was an avid fisherman with his father, was a computer enthusiast and enjoyed building computers. He also was an avid race car mechanic.
Survivors include his parents, Michael and Marty (Bell) Godleski of Anderson; sister, Nancy M. Godleski of Nashville, Tenn.; and several aunts and uncles.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Michael Allen Godleski, who passed away June 7, 1989.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Trinity Episcopal Church, 1030 Brown/Delaware St., Anderson, with Bishop William E. Smalley officiating. Burial will follow in Grove Lawn Cemetery, Pendleton.
Visitation will be from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Friday at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service and Crematory, Lahm Chapel, Pendleton.
