ANDERSON, Ind. —
Thedell Polk, 53, of Anderson, passed away Oct. 29, 2010, at IU Medical Center in Indianapolis.
He was born in Hughes, Ark., to Quilip and Willie Bell (Wells) Polk. Thedell relocated to Anderson in 1966 and graduated from Madison Heights High School.
He served in the U.S. Marines and was employed at Brockway Glass as a mechanic.
He is survived by his mother, Willie Bell Wells; three daughters, Lamecca Polk, Yasheka Polk and Laneisha Jackson; a son, Thedell Polk Jr.; five brothers, Leo (Patricia) Slayton, Ernest Malone, Quilar Needley and William Brooks; two sisters, Rosie Hamilton and Margrett Stewart.
Services will be noon Saturday at Mount Pilgrim Baptist Church. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon at the church.
