Carwon R. Jones

Nov. 14, 1953 - March 14, 2013

ANDERSON, Ind. —  Carwon R. Jones Jr., 59, also known as “Deac,” left this earthly life to begin his eternal life on March 14, 2013. Carwon was born on Nov. 14, 1953 in Kansas City, Mo., to Helen and Carwon Jones Sr.

Carwon was a member of New Hope UMC where he served as a usher and member of the Board of Trustees. In 1999 he received the Unsung Hero Award for his service to the Anderson community.

Carwon retired from General Motors Fort Wayne Truck plant in 2000 as a pipe fitter and robot technician.

Carwon leaves behind his loving and devoted wife, Louise D. Jones; his loving daughters, Pam (Jeffery) Turner, Tina (Jerome) Ware, and LaShay (Nathan) Nunn all of Anderson, and also Dondra Smith of Kansas City, Mo.; his grandchildren, Jazzelyn, Dadra, Jeffery (Bill), Tiara, Dallas, Xavier, Lauren; sisters, Sharon Jones Rogers and Corliss Jones, both of Kansas City, Mo.; his Aunt Dorthy and a host of loving nieces and nephews.

Carwon was preceded in death by his parents Carwon and Helen Jones Sr, and his sister Peggy Combs.

A local visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at New Hope United Methodist Church,  1503 Rev. J.T. Menifee Street.Anderson.  Funeral services will be noon Friday at Saint James UMC 5540 Wayne Street,Kansas City,Mo., with two hour visitation prior to services.
