ANDERSON, Ind. —
Larry Lee Gullett, 64, of Anderson, passed away on Sept. 22, 2012, at Community Hospital Anderson, following an honorable fight with cancer.
He was born on March 5, 1948, in Rhode Island, and resided most of his life in Anderson.
Larry was a veteran who served his country in the U.S. Army, in Korea, during the Vietnam War.
He retired after 37 years of service as an AT & T repairman.
He was a past commander of VFW Post 266, member of Anderson 40/8 and Chesterfield American Legion 408.
Survivors include his children, Angela Dawn (boyfriend, Jean-Luc Cattet) Merchiers of Speedway, Ind., and Chad Gullett of Anderson, Ind.; stepdaughter, Jamie (Todd) Smith of Anderson; mother, Patricia (Strong) Gullett; siblings, Sherry (Tom) Weaver, Julia (Charlie) Eltzroth and David (Peggy) Gullett; eight grandchildren, Kyle Canatsey, Alexandre and Chloe Merchiers, Raven Gullett, Ryme Gullett and Korey, Zoey and Ayden Smith; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Larry was preceded in death by his wife, Joan Gullett, who passed away in February 2012; father, Woodford Gullett; and brother, Doug Gullett.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Robert D. Loose Funeral Home & Crematory, 200 W. 53rd St., Anderson, Ind.
Services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, officiated by the Rev. Gary Klinger. Burial will take place at East Maplewood Cemetery, where military graveside rites will be conducted by the VFW Post 266 Honor Guard.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
