ANDERSON — Karen L. Hiatt, 51, passed away April 15, 2010, at Community Northview, Anderson, following an extended illness.
She was born May 29, 1958, in Anderson, where she lived her entire life.
Karen was a 1976 graduate of Madison Heights High School.
She worked at Frisch’s Big Boy in Anderson.
Survivors include her mother, Waneta (Pavey) Hiatt of Anderson; brother, Kevin Hiatt of Seymour, Tenn.; uncle, Jerry S. Hiatt of Anderson; aunt, Levetta Murdock of Pendleton; cousins, Jerry (Mary) Hiatt of Colleyville, Texas, and Jeffrey (Becky) Hiatt of Soddydaisy, Tenn.; uncle, Bill (Betty) Hiatt of Secrerst Lake in Indiana; cousins, Todd (Beth) Baker of Lapel and Casey and Amiya Baker of Noblesville; great-aunt, Charlene Roller of Hanahan, S.C.; cousin, Michael Johnson of Hanahan, S.C.; best friend, Yolanda Chambers of Anderson; cousins, LeAnna Kirkwood of Alexandria, Annie Kirkwood of Alexandria, Abby Kirkwood of Alexandria and David Hiatt; and nieces and nephews, Amy (Todd) Snyder and Ryley, Stacey (Michael) Jones and Blake, Maggie and Amanda Jones.
Karen was preceded in death by her father, Kent R. Hiatt, on June 21, 2008.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday at Robert D. Loose Funeral Homes and Crematory, South Chapel, 200 W. 53rd St., Anderson.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at the south chapel, officiated by Dr. Art Jaggard. Burial will take place at East Maplewood Cemetery, Anderson.
Memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church or Community Northview.
