ALEXANDRIA, Ind. — Our beloved mother, Bonnie B. Pierce, age 76, went home to be with her beloved Savior, Jesus Christ, and her departed family members on Sunday, Sept. 5, 2010, from Community Hospital Anderson, following an extended illness.

She was born May 1, 1934, in Elwood, Ind., the daughter of Herman and Edna (Noble) Webb, and had resided in Alexandria since 1952.

Bonnie attended Elwood High School.

She had worked for Essex Wire, formerly of Elwood.

She was a member of Community Church of Alexandria and the former Alexandria Lioness Club. Bonnie enjoyed working crafts and reading. She was a fan of the Indiana Pacers.

Survivors include three sons, Terry (Laura) Pierce of Columbia, Tenn., John (Fran) Pierce of Houston, Texas, and Monty (Lisa) Pierce of Columbus, Ohio; daughter-in-law, Kathy Pierce of Alexandria; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; her brother, Rolland (Nancy) Webb of Alexandria; her sister, Janice (Mike) Morrow of Aroma; and several nieces and nephews

Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 56 years, “Maurie” Pierce, who died Sept. 1, 2008; sons, Tom Pierce-Jan. 5, 2010, and Tony Pierce-June 26, 2010; and brother, James Webb-1967.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in the Owens Funeral Home, 412 N. Harrison St., Alexandria, officiated by Pastor Mike Robbins. Interment will follow at IOOF Cemetery, Alexandria

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
