ANDERSON — Margaret E. “Marge” Watkins, 93, of Anderson, passed away March 31, 2010, at Countryside Manor after an extended illness.
She was born July 31, 1916, in Anderson, the daughter of Harry and Ruth (Johnson) Stage. She lived in Anderson all of her life and was a homemaker.
She was a member of Central Christian Church.
Marge is survived by her nieces and nephews, Cathy (husband, Ed) Ward and Chris (husband, Butch) Heath, all of Anderson, Steve (wife, Bobbi) Stage of Fort Myers, Fla., Jayne (husband, Bob) Seybert of Lapel, Susan Lytle of Whiteland, Rick (wife, Sue) Lytle of Bloomington and Leanne (husband, Tom) Anderson of Columbus; several great-nieces and nephews; several great-great-nieces and nephews; and sister-in-law, Nancy Strough of Lapel.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John C. “Jack” Watkins; sisters, Nondas Lytle and Glendora Stage; and brothers, Bill Stage and Dick Stage.
Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Home with the Rev. Rick Vale officiating. Burial will be in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Madison County Humane Society.
