FRANKTON — Karl F. Stout Jr., 79, of Frankton, died March 18, 2010, at Renaissance Rehabilitation Center in Muncie after a brief illness.



He was born April 28, 1930, in Muncie. He retired in 1980 from Delco Remy in Anderson where he worked in the sheet metal department. He was a 1948 graduate of Yorktown High School. He was a United States Army veteran who served during the Korean War. He was a 50-year member of the Frankton Masonic Lodge 607, Murat Shrine Club, Madison County Shrine Club, York Rite, and the Anderson Commandry. He loved reading.



Survivors include special family members, Ron and wife Myra West of Frankton, Shelby West of Frankton, and Tiffany and husband Josh Davis of Frankton.



He was preceded in death by his parents, Karl F. Sr. and Lileth Emogene (Yost) Stout; wife who died on Nov. 9, 2004, Joyce Ailene (Diehl) Stout; and daughter, Vicki Ann Stout.



Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday at Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home in Elwood with the Rev. Gary Simmons officiating. Burial will take place in the Elwood City Cemetery.



Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. The Frankton Masonic Lodge #607 will conduct a memorial service at 1 p.m. Monday. The Elwood Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5782 will conduct military graveside rites at the cemetery.
