ANDERSON — Bettie Jo Risinger, 85, Anderson, passed away March 20, 2010, at Saint John’s Medical Center after an extended illness.



She was born Aug. 2, 1924, in Indianapolis, the daughter of R. Basil and Josephine (Cooney) Hull. She lived most all of her life in Anderson, graduated in 1942 from Anderson High School and attended Indiana University.



Bettie Jo was a volunteer at Saint John’s Medical Center and an avid bridge player, belonging to numerous bridge clubs. She was a member of Central Christian Church, Psi Iota Xi Sorority, Order of the Eastern Star, Lady’s Shrine Club, Lady’s Elks and the Isabelle Society. She was a former member of the Edgewood Country Club, Swanee Travel Club and the Purdue Extension Home Economics Club.



Survivors include three children, Diane K. Daoust, Rita (Ed) Drews, both of Anderson, and Kent A. Risinger; seven grandchildren, Kelly (Trent) Shannon, Chris Daoust, Rachel (Brett) Frum, Sarah (Chad) Keyton, Jennifer (Joe) Campbell, Heather (Josh) Ancil, and Lindsay Drews and fiancé Jared Anderson; 12 great-grandchildren, Jacob Shannon, Madelyn Shannon, Griffin Frum, Grayson Frum, Grant Frum, Kendall Keyton, Trevor Kimm, Shae Ancil, Brooke Ancil, Taylor Campbell, Victoria Campbell and Joseph Campbell; and her loving, kind-hearted caregiver and friend, Rebecca Rector.



She was preceded in death by her husband, Max O. Risinger, in 2006; a son-in-law, Richard Daoust; and one grandson, Jonathon Daoust.



Service will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Home with Michael Coates officiating. Burial will be in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.



Friends may call from noon to 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
