ANDERSON — Roslyn A. “Lynn” Henthorn, 71, Anderson, died March 19, 2010, at her residence following a courageous battle with cancer.
Born March 8, 1939, in LaPorte, to Louis and Faye Houser, she worked at Memorial Hospital in South Bend for 16 years. Later, she retired from Pendleton Reformatory after 10 years.
She was a member of the Bible Study at East Side Church of God, where she also served as an usher, greeter, bereavement committee member and Sunday school teacher. She loved to scrapbook and travel.
Survivors include her honorable sister, Carretta “Corky” Corzine; special cousin, Shirlee (Richard) Conserriere of Washington state and their children, John, Amy and Emily; Anderson family, Carlos and Millie Corzine and children, Carey (Sharon) and Curtis (Laura) and Carlo; two aunts; and several cousins.
The family would like to extend a special thank-you to her church family, Saint John’s Hospice and dear friends who supported her during her recent illness.
She was preceded in death by parents, Louis and Faye Houser; and stepmother, Louise Houser.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at East Side Church of God with Dr. Kerry Robinson officiating. Cremation will take place and burial of cremated remains will be at a later date at East Maplewood Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service and one hour before service Thursday.
