Have you noticed our elected officials? When elected to serve, they think they have become czars of a kingdom. Why do we keep putting up with being degraded to servants? Take the so-called entitlements. That’s our money they’re talking about, not theirs. All the money the government has comes from taxpayers, not the (czars) who live rich, plush lives on our money.
In addition they also have entitlements, insurance, pensions and other perks. Then, they say to (the money suppliers), we can’t afford entitlements for you, we must sacrifice for the good of all. I say let’s cut their salaries and perks and put them out of or back to work. And, I use the word work loosely. I am a liberal and I think all people should have a decent life, as good as the czars, now in office. Don’t you? They gave away your jobs, wealth and dignity with free trade. When will you have enough of the czars?

They say if you don’t like the weather around here, just stick around. I was all set to play golf this weekend. Cleaned my clubs. Polished my golf shoes. Got a good night’s sleep, and woke up in Antarctica. No golf.

Emmett Dulaney: Micro lending strives for big heights
Every now and then, a topic will come along that you hear a great deal about but don’t really understand what it is. In the world of IT, for example, “cloud computing” could fall into this category since everyone talks about it but the definition of what it actually is changes to fit whoever has something to peddle at the moment. Similarly, around central Indiana the Microloan Program is something that I have heard a great deal about, but have had difficulty fully understanding exactly what it is.
