Letter: McCord touched the lives of many

All the years that John McCord spent as a student, teacher, coach, and athletic director at Madison Heights High School were with enthusiasm, pride in his school and hard work.

John was the heart and soul of the Pirates. A person that anyone would be honored to call a friend. During the years I knew John, I never heard a complaint, always greeted me with a smile, and was the type of person who brightened your day with a positive attitude.

John will be truly missed, not only by his family, but also by his many friends. He lived a life dedicated to teaching and coaching young people. A life that touched the life forever of those he taught.
