I read The Herald Bulletin’s criticism of the Pence address. He said he would be governor “of” not “for” all Hoosiers. Somehow, this speaks of arrogance. Pence wants to reduce taxes and create wealth. The Herald Bulletin (THB) says, “Keep the money and create more entitlement spending.”
Pence spoke of helping build strong families and creating jobs, but THB says he didn’t address poverty. Duh? How are high taxes and entitlements working out for California? Let’s adopt the Pelosi mindset. She said, “Unemployment checks are a great economic stimulus.”
Government is not a charity. If you truly want to help those in need, find an organization that doesn’t waste 90 percent of every dollar, trying to buy votes, and donate to it. If you think government is the answer, I assure you, you can send the money back! Looking at the political map, is it just coincidence that most of the states in fiscal trouble are liberal?
