Letter: Let band honor three schools’ history

Mr. Earl, I strongly object to the opinion you espouse for the exact reason you state: History. Madison Heights is not “Ancient History”; it was a mere 13 years ago when the last class graduated from MHHS. Some of those students are still in Anderson; and have children. They may have parents who attended MHHS.

Honoring history is “exactly” what Anderson should do. We honor history in the hallway of the school with past accomplishments. Let this band honor the history of all three schools. That is real unity.
