News (Jan. 7): Woman arrested at correctional facility

PENDLETON — Crystal Cunningham, 22, of Indianapolis was arrested Jan. 3 at Pendleton Correctional Facility, according to Superintendent Brett Mize.    

According to Mize, at 12:15 p.m. during the visitor search process, Officer Patricia Guffey found Cunningham with 86 grams of marijuana, 23 grams of tobacco and some tobacco rolling papers secreted on her body.

She was arrested and transported to the Madison County Jail.

Cunningham will be facing preliminary charges of dealing in marijuana (Class D felony), trafficking in a controlled substance (Class C felony), possession of marijuana over 30 grams (Class D felony), and a Class A misdemeanor of trafficking tobacco with an offender.

The inmate Cunningham was attempting to visit was identified as Kevin D. White, 41, of Frankton. 

White is serving a 20-year sentence out of Madison County on a charge of escape. His projected release date is July 7, 2015.
