ANDERSON, Ind. — A compilation of community news, as published in the Monday edition of The Herald Bulletin.

Fish dinner Friday at county 40&8

ANDERSON — The Madison County Voiture 510, 40&8, 1600 S. Rangeline Road, will host an all-you-can-eat fish dinner on Friday.

Serving times will be from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Carryout meals will be available. Cost is $8.



Comedy Nights coming to HP

ANDERSON —  Hoosier Park Racing & Casino will feature a weekly stand-up comedy series each Friday beginning Nov. 30 at 8:30 p.m. The five-week comedy series, Drafts & Laughs, will highlight the Midwest’s best touring comics in the Hoosier Park Terrace. The shows are free to the public ages 18 years or older. Show headliners are:

  •  Nov. 30: Troy Davis, featured on Bob & Tom and ESPN Radio
  •  Dec. 7: Michael McDaniel, featured in Best of the Fest and Detroit International Comedy Festivals
  •  Dec. 14: Brett Eastburn, featured on Bob & Tom
  • Dec. 21: Michael Malone, featured on Bob & Tom and NBC TV
  • Dec. 28: Keith Bender, the winner of Funniest Person in Cincinnati and Columbus

Local authors to sign books in Daleville

DALEVILLE — Local authors Violet Ryan, Toni Cantrell and Bea Simmons will have an Author Chat on Saturday, Dec. 8, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Daleville Community Library.

Residents are invited to meet the authors and have them autograph one of their books as a gift.



Shenandoah Class of ’73 to host reunion

MIDDLETOWN — The Shenandoah Class of 1973 has started making plans for its upcoming 40th class reunion on Aug. 10, 2013, at Tri County Golf Club at 8170 N. 400W. The reunion will be held from 6 to 11 p.m. with dinner served at 7 p.m. Cost will be $20 per person.

Bolton to perform at Honeywell Center

WABASH — Singer and songwriter Michael Bolton will arrive at the Honeywell Center in Wabash on Wednesday, Dec. 12, at 7 p.m.  

Bolton has received two Grammy Awards for Best Pop Male Vocal Performance, six American Music awards for hits including “How Am I Supposed to Live Without You,” “Time, Love, and Tenderness,” “To Love Somebody” and “When I’m Back On My Feet Again.”

Civic Theatre to present ‘Mame’

MUNCIE — Muncie Civic Theatre will present “Mame” on Nov. 30-Dec. 1, Dec. 7-9 and Dec. 13-15.

A special performance will be held on Thursday, Dec. 13. Other performances will be held on Friday, and Saturday at 7:30 p.m., and the Sunday matinee on Dec. 9 will be at 2 p.m.

    Indiana’s got talent. There was no doubt about that on May 16 when Hoosier Park hosted the semifinal competition of its Idol All-In contest. Nine people made it to the semifinals, all vying for a $2,500 cash prize, plus a studio recording session and a gig at Hoosier Park. Three are now left to battle it out Saturday.
