Pendleton Library offers new database
PENDLETON — Pendleton Community Library, 595 E. Water St., is providing ReferenceUSA, an online database that offers diverse uses for job applicants, business owners, and those searching for doctors and dentists.
Library patrons can use the database, inside and outside the library, by accessing the library’s Web site, www.pendleton.lib.in.us.
Instructional seminars, geared for local small business owners, will be held on Feb. 27, 10 to 11 a.m., and March 6, 2 to 3 p.m. For more information, call the library at 778-7527.
Hospital has classes on healthy living
ANDERSON — Community Hospital is offeing two classes on healthy living this week.
A cooking class was held at Monday in Conference Room 1. Healthy and budget-friendly recipes were featured while teaching participants how to cook for a small family.
On Tuesday, at 5 p.m., a trainer and dietitian will lead the group on how to incorporate exercise and healthy eating into one’s lifestyle. This group will meet in the hospital’s Cardiac Rehabilitation department.

Senior discount card sign-up Wednesday
ANDERSON — Merchants Older Buddies registration will be from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Anderson Parks Department, 101 E. Oak St., north of the Shadyside Park entrance off Broadway.
The registration card offers discounts to those 60 years of age and older at various area merchants.

Sign-up starts soon at Anderson Christian
ANDERSON — Anderson Christian School, 2625 Lindberg Road, will accept re-enrollment of current students beginning Feb. 15. Enrollment will open for new students beginning March 1.
The school offers preschool and pre-kindergarten programs, half-day and full-day kindergarten, and elementary and middle school classes. The high school program, which began with the addition of ninth grade last fall, will include 10th grade for the fall of 2010 with plans to add 11th grade in 2011 and 12th grade in 2012.
