ANDERSON — Country rock singer Corey Cox, of Pendleton, will perform in concert Saturday night at Cowpoke’s Western Outfitters, 1812 E. 52rd St.
The opening act, Augusta Rose, begins at 8 p.m. with Cox performing at 9:30 p.m.
Cox, 20, has had two successful songs aired on radio, “Ain’t No Coming Back” and “The One That Got Away.”
Saturday’s show will be in the parking lot between Cowpoke’s and Cooper’s Sports Bowl. The concert is a family event, Cox said, although alcohol is to be served by Cooper’s, 1920 E. 53rd St.
Patrons are invited to bring lawn chairs. Tickets are $5 presale at Cowpoke’s or Cooper’s. Admission will be $7 at the door.
Proceeds from the event will be donated to Outfitters Inc., the Pendleton organization that provides clothing to low-income children in Madison County.
