In this historic picture, members of the Central Indiana Gas Company have gathered for a Labor Day picnic at Idlewold Park in Pendleton. The date on the banner is Sept. 6, 1915, 95 years ago Monday.
This photograph is part of the Madison County Historical Society’s collection
in the Historical Photos Gallery at 15 W. 11th St., Anderson. The gallery
has many old photographs on display taken in Anderson and Madison County.
The current display ends Sept. 30. The gallery is open and free to the
public every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
